When We Believe
Once in a while, we go through the motions of uncertainty and pain, but when our eyes are focused on the LORD, we know that we can make it through.

Life's hurdles are alleviated by praising and glorifying GOD, putting Him first and foremost every day. Prayers and total surrender become saving elements for our walk on earth.  Believing in the LORD makes mountains move.  We just need to believe that where our faith is concerned, we are always on GOD's training ground, being groomed in our faith.

Disbelief brings more pain and uncertainties in our walk to freedom. We know without a trace of doubt, that the LORD teaches us with His truth through life's deep valleys, reminding us of His own victory while on earth.  Regardless of adversities, we will persevere because of Him.  How reminded we are of Moses' hurdles in Egypt.  There, too, were the days of Joseph, Daniel, Job, and of King David himself.  They all persevered against the onslaught of trials because they believed.

Walking with GOD faithfully gives assurance that He is taking care of us at every life's bend and fold.  We have to be willing to trust Him all the way.  We remember St. Peter who was able to walk on water when his eyes were on the LORD JESUS yet the minute his attention deviated from that, he started to sink.  And there, too, was St. Paul who faced many barricades while proclaiming GOD's truth everywhere he went. Through those challenges, his faith and relationship with the LORD deepened.

Indeed it is easy to get dissuaded by ongoing predicaments.  Often we are only aware of life's winter that comes - time when we deal with the darkened world and its coldness.  Challenging days pile up and it seems that we're not able to do anything with the situation we are in.  Enticements come from all angles and somehow they appear to offer an easy way out of everything.  So many convoluted roads to go through and waters to cross and the mind gets inundated.  We hear of people describing their lives as hopeless.  But like St. Paul, we must continue to hold on to the truth that GOD never abandons us, that He is there all along.  And His will is the best to rely on not ours for He knows before any situation starts and when it ends.  He holds the very solution to all predicaments.

We can stand against life's storms and the LORD JESUS taught us so.  He was the greatest teacher when it comes to suffering and pain.  He knew that with GOD victory was tangible.  There was not an iota of hesitation in His believing.

GOD's love holds us together in every battle, but never steps in to take over until we surrender everything to Him.  Calling Him on the scene for every need enhances our faith and our relationship with Him.  He allows challenges to come that we may know of His truth.  We can't be unmindful to His promptings particularly those ones that make us change from the inside out.

Life's trials teach us to trust Him.  Once we put this into practice, we are able to welcome life's tests willingly.  We have to remember, however, to give Him full control of our life's wheel.  It is total submission to His will and there is no other way but His.  Luke 22:42  When we are not willing to obey Him, then we create an obstruction for His help to take place.  It is not that the LORD does not come and help us but that we are not willing to wait for Him.  And because of such unwillingness, we are not able to hear His voice or understand His direction.

Challenges are not meant to break us; instead they are life's invitations to know about GOD's love and be familiar with His ways.  They teach us to trust Him totally.  Embracing such trust gives us peace of mind and alleviates fear within.  We can withdraw from the world's noises so we'll be able to hear what the HOLY SPIRIT is sharing with us.  Right in our hearts, we'll be able to hear His voice and understand His message.  Let us therefore be tenacious in our obedience to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and embrace His truth for in it freedom is gained.  Each moment, He speaks to us.  Can you hear Him?
GOD, He is!
